  EUCCK does everything possible to help the EU businesses'success in the Korean market. The Chamber offers desk research, professional meetings, trade missions and industrial tours at most competitive prices for member companies. The Europe-Asia Cooperation Agency (EACA) serves as EUCCK's Liaison Office in Brussels and provides our Small and Medium Enterprise ( SME ) members in Europe with full business support services on the Korean market right in the heart of Europe together with a unique access to the European Commission.
  The EU-Korea Industrial Cooperation Agency (EUKICA) is incorporated into EACA.
 
     
    The Korea - European Union free trade agreement (FTA) was initialed on October 15th, 2009. It is expected to be ratified and enter into a force during 2010. The EUCCK played an integral part in pushing both parties towards an ambitious and trade creating FTA. After the agreement enters into a force the EUCCK will continue its efforts in constant monitoring of the implementation and in supporting Korea - EU trade and investment activities to achieve the benefits in the spirit of the FTA.  
     
    EUCCK is the most powerful European business to Government relations platform in Korea. When individual companies have problems accessing the right Government officials to solve specific business issues, EUCCK can help by organizing individual meetings with official counterparts. Furthermore, the Chamber's 28 Sectorial Committees prepare each year the "Market Access Issues" booklet reviewing all business barriers faced by European companies in Korea. EUCCK provides recommendations to the Korean Government on ways to solve these issues and receives the Government's comments to our issues. EUCCK's Market Access Issues are highly regarded within the European Commission and regularly used by European negotiators during the annual bilateral trade negotiations with Korea.  
     
    Many foreign companies experience some problems in their business activities on issues of regulations, market access, labor disputes as well as brand awareness or distribution of their products in Korea. To address these problems, our members have to deal with Government institutions, labor unions, civic groups who view problems in a different way. The EUCCK helps to broker mutually acceptable solutions thanks to 24 years of experience in dealing with Government and social institutions to help our members identifying the origin of a stalemate and organizing one-to-one meetings with key decision makers as well as providing assistance in negotiating strategies with the Korean party. The Chamber has a proven track record in solving complicated issues for some of our members involving either labor unions or Korean Government institutions.  
     
    EUCCK's high profile within Korean business circles and authorities will directly benefit your company when approaching or operating on the Korean markets. The Chamber's well-known monthly magazine "Infomag" regularly features articles on member companies and activities in Korea and this magazine proves to be a very valuable support for members' advertising since it is distributed in several world-class airlines. The EUCCK can also arrange specific marketing activities such as press conferences and information campaigns upon request of our members. Last but not least, the Europe-Korea Foundation (EKF) which is the Chamber's charity arm organizes several well-focused charity events to the benefit of underprivileged groups within Korean society, therefore offering excellent opportunities for member's companies to show their "Corporate Responsibility" by sponsoring or participating in those events.  
     
    The 28 Sectorial Committees arrange regular breakfast / luncheon / dinner meetings with the participation of high ranking Korean Government officials or other influencial guests-speakers from industry backgrounds or the European Commission. The EUCCK also organizes specific seminars like its Annual Economic Forecast Seminar, Symposiums on Negotiations with Trade Unions or Investment Promotion Seminars with selected Korean provincial authorities to provide our members with understanding and visibility on important issues as well as new and better investment opportunities in Korea.  
     
    The EUCCK offers incomparable opportunities to network with top executives from European and Korean companies as well as with Government officials, either through our regular events or during the monthly "Network Clubs" organized in Seoul and Busan. Moreover, the Busan Office organizes several Barbecue Poolside Parties which are highly appreciated by our members and their families.     "The European Pavilions" common exhibition booths provided by EUCCK increase the visibility of your company by taking advantage of the EU's strong image as a single market during main exhibitions in South Korea. The EUCCK acts as an official sponsor or organizer to selected exhibitions. The EUCCK also offers assistance in the organization of technical and product-centered seminars within those exhibitions.     EUCCK constantly gathers relevant business information from external sources ( Korean Government, business entities, private associations, think-tanks ) and from own research. The Infomag offers extensive coverage about all major business topics in the Korean peninsula and together with its online edition (http://infomag.eucck.org/) provides exceptional media visibility for our members and their business issues.

Europe's international prestige and influence is steadily on the rise and its critical mass allow it to negotiate on an equal footing with the World's biggest trading blocs, be it the United States or China.
